MEETINGS OF THE PARISH COUNCIL
Parish Council meetings are held every month (except August), usually on Monday at 6pm, at such premises that the Council may direct. All meetings are open to members of the public, but only the Full Council meeting Agenda includes an opportunity for members of the public to ask questions of the Council.
Notice of the meeting giving the date, time and venue, along with the Agenda, is issued three clear days before each meeting and posted on the noticeboard at the Parish Council office in Smith’s Wood Primary Academy, and also on the website, see below. In the event of a change to any meeting dates, notification will be posted at the Parish Council office as soon as possible before the intended meeting.
Even though all the Council’s meetings are open to the public, please note that sometimes the Council may have to discuss matters of a confidential nature, in which case the press and public will be asked to leave the meeting for that part of the meeting.
RECORDING OF MEETINGS
The Council, members of the public and the press may film/record/photograph for live and/or subsequent broadcast any meeting of the Parish Council ONLY when the public and press are not lawfully excluded.
Any member of the public who attends a meeting held by the Parish Council and wishes to object to being filmed/recorded/photographed should raise their concerns with any person(s) recording the meeting. The Parish Council will not, currently, be filming/recording/photographing any meeting listed below and do not accept liability for any 3rd party recordings.
